Sam Bornstein

Sam Bornstein is a Senior Aerospace Engineer at SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc. (SEI). Mr. Bornstein is part of SpaceWorks’ advanced concepts team, with emphasis on high speed propulsion, flight mechanics, trajectory optimization, and reusable flight vehicle design.
Prior to joining SEI, Mr. Bornstein worked at Williams International in Walled Lake, MI. While at Williams, Mr. Bornstein developed expertise in the areas of gas turbine combustion, computational fluid dynamics, supersonic and hypersonic air-breathing propulsion systems, and hypersonic aerodynamics.
Mr. Bornstein received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Evansville where he was a member of the varsity Men’s Soccer team and was awarded Academic All-Conference. In addition, Mr. Bornstein earned his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology where he worked as a graduate researcher in the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory (ASDL).
