Bill Doncaster is a Senior Systems Engineer at SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc. (SEI). He leads SEI’s systems engineering activities including planning, tracking, and coordinating technical tasks during a design process. Mr. Doncaster supports design and development projects across SEI’s portfolio of innovative space businesses, including SpaceWorks Engineering, Generation Orbit, Terminal Velocity Aerospace, and Blink Astro.
Prior to joining SEI, Mr. Doncaster developed spacecraft engineering expertise during 9 years with the Satellite Antenna Systems division of Harris Corporation. During his tenure at Harris Corp., Mr. Doncaster developed system architectures and cost estimates for satellite antenna proposals, planned and conducted qualification tests, and managed requirements and test verification information using conventional and model based systems engineering (MBSE) software. He also performed mechanical design work for deployable antennas including a folded rib hub, reflector pallet system, passive restraint system for hinged and cantilevered rods, and other mechanisms.
Mr. Doncaster earned his Masters of Applied Systems Engineering degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, also from Georgia Tech.
